Company

Memory, research, and innovation.

Arte is an Italian brand of brushes and professional solutions for building painting. Since the 1970s, when it was founded in Cicognara—a renowned industrial district—the company has been able to interpret the needs of an evolving sector, offering patented products and original proposals designed to facilitate the work of professional painters.

Italian ingenuity.

Giovanni Barbantini founded the Arte brush factory in 1973. In Italy, these were the years of the building boom, when new professional figures, such as painters, emerged alongside new constructions and renovations. The workshop is located in Cicognara, an area dedicated since the early 1900s to the production of brooms and brushes, thanks to the abundance of broom and marsh plants along the Po River. Unlike other companies in the region, the brush factory is not named after its founder; with a vision aimed at excellence even then, it is called Arte. In the early 2000s, Elisabetta and Silvia Barbantini, Giovanni's daughters, took over the management of the company, with the goal of carrying the family tradition into the future.

Patented innovation.

What makes Arte one of the leading brands in the professional brush sector is its patented anti-drip brush: an innovation destined to become an industry standard. Born from dialogue with painters and an understanding of their needs, the anti-drip brush has transformed an existing product, enhancing performance and simplifying the lives of its users, all while maintaining quality.

Research and development.

Although remaining a family-run business, Arte has an in-house office dedicated to research and development. Here, technicians refine the most innovative products, responding to market needs and developments in the field of professional painting, offering always new tools that are in line with current trends and interior design.
